NTU-DTU Innovation Workshop June 2016
- Applications of Nanotechnology

For more info on other years content and general info see the Innovation Workshop Main Website

The objectives of this course are:

  • To perform research on an application of nanotechnology by explaining the fundamentals of the subject and reviewing state-of-art in a report.
  • In the report, develop a suggestion for an innovative idea on how to advance state-of-art, based on a more detailed analysis.
  • Plan and execute your work so you to the extent possible can perform basic experimental or numerical tests to support your idea.
  • To the extent possible present results in the report from short experiment giving a hands-on experience on your topic
  • Gain experience in the challenges of international research collaboration and project planning.
  • Develop your skills in the creative application of learned knowledge in innovative ideas for solving a real-world research challenge.
  • Writing a report in international collaboration.
  • Gain experience in presentation, defence, and peer review evaluation of your work on an international stage within the course.

The course you will work in an international team of students and supervisors from:

The main part of this course will take place 03.06.2016 – 24.06.2016, but we hope some initial project collaboration can start before this period.

The available projects for group work are described on the Project page.

How to apply and who can join:

The course is primarily aimed at students at the their first year after achieving a BSc degree with background in nanotechnology, but others are welcome to apply.

Please check up on available projects to see more details of what you can choose to work on – if you have little experience in these subjects your personal workload will naturally increase.

DTU: This course is a 'special course' or a 3-week course at DTU Nanotech. You can also join without getting credits.

DTU enrolled students apply for a Special course by sending an email to Kristian Mølhave on krmo@nanotech.dtu.dk.

From the applicants the 5-10 best students will be selected for the course

Deadline for DTU student application is June 1st
