As part of the final project we will perform a number of
interventions.
Generic framework for interventions
- Each bot tweets two original tweets about #hashtag
- Each bot retweets 4 first tweets about #hashtag
- Each bot retweets 15 tweets about #hashtag that do not
originate from other bots (list of all bots here).
- Each bot favorites all new tweets
about #hashtag. In this instance "new" means posted
after intervention-start.
We recommend you write a script for 2-4. (Then all
you have to do is write two original tweets for each intervention).
We also recommend that you use the
streaming API to retweet and favorite new incoming tweets about
#hashtag.
Summary stats on the success of each intervention are avilable
here.
Intervention schedule
- Start on November 13
- End on Dec 1st
- Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Running 18:00 - 9:00
(overnight). Plus thanksgiving.

Is Tom Cruise there? Or McConaughey? Or is it drone? Or weird
lightning? Blurry photos, maybe some Roswell
greys, etc. Maybe your bot is sceptical about the whole
