Learning objectives (Specific)
- Identify forex user needs in relation to
trader segments
- Translate the needs into MVP minimum viable
product featues
-
Sketch out usage scenarios as POP wireframes based on flat UI
constraints similar to geckoboard
-
Integrate wireframes into storyboards to be validated as POP
functional prototypes
Lectures
Lean methods related to UX user experience, reusable design
patterns and rapid prototyping.
Group work related to week 3 assignment B
Monday:
-
Prototyping: identify the needs for a
tradable smartpbone app that captures specific usage
scenarios
to be qualitatively validated in a functional
prototype using
POP
for iOS or android, by sketching out the app functionalities
on paper as wireframes, import the wireframes into a storyboard
using POP, transform the storyboard into a functional POP prototype
with simple navigation
-
Presentation : demo the latest iteration
of your POP prototype and state what user needs it is meant to
validate
Thursday:
-
Validation of user needs : validate your
user hypotheses by testing your POP prototype concept with members
of the other groups to collect and incorporate feedback for next
iteration of your design.
-
Peer review: present next iteration of your POP
prototype app (max. 3 min per group)
-
Iteration: incorporate feedback and new ideas into
the design and upload your prototype before friday at 17.
